They don’t take up space — they define it. They don’t ask for attention, yet they receive it. This multifunctional soapstone burner is one of them.

Every piece is unique

Hand-carved from genuine soapstone, each burner retains the natural characteristics of the material: varying shades, individual textures and small irregularities from the carving process. Each piece is literally unique, crafted by hand rather than cast in a mould.

The stone may feature prominent natural veining, which can sometimes resemble cracks. These veins are natural characteristics of soapstone, not signs of repair or refurbishment. The appearance of the piece you receive may differ from the photographs.

The set is designed as a system. Six configurations, one place on your table. In its warming modes, aromas are released slowly, without smoke. Whether you burn frankincense resin on charcoal, diffuse essential oils, warm botanical blends or light an incense stick, the burner adapts. The intention remains yours.

Composition and Purity

Main material:Natural soapstone - metamorphic rock rich in talc, extracted and processed manually. The color, veins and texture of each piece are unique and vary naturally from one specimen to another. The inside of the bowl has a waterproof protective coating.

How to use

The burner can be arranged in six different configurations, depending on the aromatic material you wish to use.

Mode 1 - Essential oil diffuser
Place the stone bowl on top of the main body. Add water and a few drops of essential oil. Light a tealight candle in the base dish. The indirect heat gently diffuses the oil without burning it.

Mode 2 - Frankincense resin or botanical blends (with mesh)
Replace the stone bowl with the stainless steel mesh. Place a few granules of frankincense or a botanical blend on the mesh. The candle heats the mesh, releasing the aroma without direct burning.

Mode 3 - Larger quantities of botanical blends (stainless steel bowl)
Place the small stainless steel bowl on the mesh to hold a larger quantity of aromatic material. Ideal for Sacra Botanicals® botanical blends.

Mode 4 - Incense cones or dhoop
Remove the stone bowl. Place the incense cone in the central hole of the base dish. The smoke rises and slowly disperses.

Mode 5 - Incense sticks
Insert the incense stick into one of the holes in the base dish. The ash collects on the stone surface.

Mode 6 - Traditional incense burning with charcoal on sand
Use the large soapstone bowl. Add a layer of quartz sand (recommended depth: 2–3 cm). Place a piece of self-lighting charcoal on the sand and light it. Once the charcoal is glowing evenly, add frankincense resin or botanical blends. The sand provides thermal insulation for the bowl and supports even, controlled burning.

Origin

Soapstone (steatite) is one of the oldest rocks used by humans for everyday and ritual objects. This burner is hand-carved by artisans specializing in working with this material. Each piece passes through hands before reaching your table – and it shows.

Because soapstone (steatite) is a natural material, the color and texture of each specimen vary. No two pieces are identical. The shade can be grey-green, blue-grey, or dark grey, with lighter or more pronounced veins.

Warnings and precautions

- Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
- The soapstone can get hot during use - do not touch surfaces directly after use.
- Periodically clean the stainless steel sieve to prevent resin build-up.
- Do not immerse stone components in water - wipe with a damp cloth.
- Use only standard tealight candles; large flames can crack the stone.
- Keep away from flammable materials, children, and pets.
- The stone surface may absorb essential oils over time - this is a natural process, not a defect.
