Palo Santo
Palo Santo, known as Holy Wood, is a sacred wood originating from South America, used for centuries in rituals for clarifying and demarcating space. Although the name may be less familiar, its aroma is easily recognizable – often present in traditional saunas, home fragrances, or massage oils, as a warm and stable presence.
Burning Palo Santo produces an earthy, woody aroma with subtle, slightly sweet notes that gently settle into the space. It is a delicate and rounded presence, without aggressiveness or excessive density, distinct from other ritual plants due to its balanced and discreet character.
In tradition, Palo Santo is used for cleansing the atmosphere and the ritualistic gesture itself. Its burning does not aim for intensity, but for continuity – accompanying beginnings, transitions, or moments of conscious stillness.
The product is offered as a bundle of 5 Palo Santo pieces, each retaining the natural shape, grain, and variations of the wood. It is not treated, fragranced, or artificially modified. Differences in size and color reflect its natural and unique character.
What is Palo Santo
The name Palo Santo literally means "holy wood." Its origin is linked to indigenous cultures in South America, where it was used in ceremonies for clarification and symbolic protection. The wood is lit for a few seconds, the flame is extinguished, and the aroma is allowed to flow slowly, without intervention or haste.
