Sultan’s Reserve denotes the highest traditional grade of Boswellia sacra frankincense from the Dhofar region of Oman. The name is traditionally associated with exceptionally rare selections made from the most mature, well-formed resin granules, kept separate for their exceptional quality.

In traditional Omani frankincense classifications, “Reserve” and “Royal” selections are considered outstanding expressions of Boswellia sacra resin, chosen for special uses and occasions. Sultan’s Reserve is available only in very limited quantities because this type of resin is naturally rare.

Aromatic character and burning

When burned, Sultan’s Reserve releases a deep, calm, and steady aroma, with rich resinous notes and well-balanced balsamic accents. The smoke is full-bodied and rounded, without fleeting notes, creating a grounded presence in the space.

It burns slowly and steadily, both on charcoal and in a heater suitable for frankincense resin. The aroma develops gradually and lasts for an extended period, making it suitable for longer aromatic sessions.

Sultan’s Reserve resin is hand-selected for its density, opacity, and maturity. The granules are compact and well formed, reflecting the final stage of the sap’s consolidation. Traditionally, they are valued for their steady, deep aromatic character.

This frankincense preserves the direct connection between tree, time and fire in a rare, unaltered form intended for aromatic fumigation.
